Report: Kevin Durant Makes A Decision On Requesting A Trade

The Golden State Warriors had a really crazy week. The defending champions lost a game to the Houston Rockets. James Harden, Chris Paul and the rest of the guys handed the Warriors a 21-point beat down at the Toyota Center. But, something else caught everyone else’s attention. It was the confrontation of Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, and the potential trade of Durant.

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had a rather vulgar exchange at the end of the regulation in the overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. NBA fans keep asking questions, ad one of them includes the potential trade of Durant.

Sam Amick of The Athletic asked the same question. Is Durant really interested in being traded by the Golden State Warriors before the end of the season?

Amick’s source confirms that Durant is committed to the Warriors and does his best to help them win a third straight championship during the season. So, no, Durant is not even thinking of being traded.

Green made a huge mistake by getting into a thing with Durant. But, the star is not going anywhere. Sources close to Durant say that he showed no interested in being traded, adding that he is focused on the championship chance that is right there, at the end of the season. “We’ve got a three-peat upon us,” the sources say.

Of course, this has nothing to do with the decision Durant is about to make regarding his free agency. There is an option for him to opt out of the second year of his deal and become a free agent next summer. This decision will be of utmost importance for the Warriors and Durant himself. Let’s see what happens next summer. Will Durant and Green get into a fight next time? the team better work on that.
