Report: Cavaliers Planing Special Tribute To Honor LeBron James

LeBron James and his team are making their way to Cleveland, and the Cavaliers have special plans for their former player. The team decided to honor the king of basketball with a video tribute when he goes back to Cleveland for the first time since inking a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“The Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to honor LeBron James with a special video tribute during Wednesday night’s game — his first return to Quicken Loans Arena since joining the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency this summer — sources told cleveland.com… The video, which is a way for the organization to say thank you for 11 great seasons, is slated to run early.
In his most recent four-year stint with the Cavaliers, James solidified his legacy by guiding the team to four straight NBA Finals trips, including one memorable championship in 2016 that ended Cleveland’s 52-year title drought,” reported cleveland.com.

This return will be an emotional experience for LeBron, but his focus is on something else.

“I don’t know. I don’t try to put too much into it. I’m gonna go out there and see if we can keep this thing going. We’re playing some really good ball right now. I’ll see some familiar faces like I did when I arrived (in Miami on Sunday). I’ll think about some of the good, I’ll think about some of the bad, I’ll think about some of the great that I had with the franchise. And then once the tip ball gets going it’s time to go to work. I’ll see some of my family that’s going to come to the games. See some of my friends as well and then get the thing going,” LeBron said.

He played 11 out of his 16 seasons in Cleveland. He was the team’s first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.
