Julian Edelman Releases Thrilling Statement About Having Gronk Back In The Field

Julian Edelman is more than happy to see his teammate Rob Gronkowski on the field again. Gronk helped Edelman to hit pay dirt on the day.

In the third quarter, Julian Edelman managed to catch a pass from quarterback Tom Brady and found his way to the end zone to even the 13 score with the New York Jets. In this catch, the tight end provided a key block on Morris Claiborne to give the Patriots receiver enough room on the sideline to jump in for a touchdown.

“I tried to cut off his block and get in. Kudos to Gronk for getting that done. There were a lot of other plays and things that he did. It’s great having him back,” Edelman said after the game.

“You know when he has those couple extra yards to get, especially when he’s getting towards the end zone, he’s going to give it his all to get into that end zone. He gives it all to this game and to this team whenever he’s out there. That was a great play by him, great catch, turn, hustled straight up the field and made that play,” Gronkowski said.

Edelman caught four of his five targets for 84 yards and a lone touchdown. The tight end caught three of his seven targets for 56 yards and the first touchdown of the game. Edelman was happy to see the good ol’ Gronk.

“He scored a touchdown and made big plays. He’s the Gronk, it’s always good to have him back. He looked like he was having fun and that’s awesome. That’s what we want,” Edelman said.

“There are a lot of eyes going to him. He’s probably the best tight end to ever suit up. Anytime he’s on the field he’s going to attract attention and it helps everyone,” Brady said of his favorite tight end.
