Lonzo Ball Gives Update On Ankle Injury, Status Thursday

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the game to the Denver Nuggets, but that’s not the worst thing that concerns the team. Lonzo Ball sprained his ankle in the second quarter of the game, and that was the real loss. The point guard fell over Malik Beasley and left the game. He was checked in the locker room.

Ball seemed ready to play in the third quarter of the game, but could not be active for more than a few minutes. He was taken out immediately, and limped to the locker room.

His status was a mystery as sprained ankles can turn into a serious problem. Maybe he will get well within a couple of days, but he can also miss great portion of the season. It depends on the severity of the injury.

The Lakers and Ball himself provided updates on the injury, but we do not have much info on Ball’s recovery. Lakers fans panic at the moment, because the whole thing can get really ugly for both the team and Ball. The Lakers will not be able to be this good without Ball at this point of the season. He improved a lot in the past few games, and having him injured is the worst scenario at the moment.

“X-Rays were negative on Lonzo Ball’s sprained ankle, so he’ll be day-to-day. The Lakers have a back to back at home on Thursday and Friday,” Mike Trudell tweeted.

“Ball and Hart are both dealing with sprained ankles. Hart’s been trying to play through it, but hasn’t been the same. Lonzo tweaked his left ankle earlier this month and almost sat out the SAC game (Nov. 10), but ended up playing 20 minutes,” he added.

Ball already informed fans that he is going to play against the Indiana Pacers. But, if the team decides to play without him, Ball will have to wait for some time before hitting the court again. The good news is that he feels fine.
