LeBron Supports Coach K, Teases Duke Future For LeBron James Jr.

LeBron James did not have the chance to play in college. However, his sons will have a lot of opportunities, and they will definitely spend a year playing NCAA basketball before entering the league. The Los Angeles Lakers star already has a few plans of where he would like his son Bronny to play in 2023. Well, that’s what his Instagram post suggests. Should be believe that? Absolutely!

LeBron commented on an ESPN post presenting video of Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski protecting his freshmen players from criticism. “Love Coach K! The absolute BEST! Hope he’s still at the helm when my boy comes up,” he wrote.

LeBron played ball for Krzyzewski during the Duke coach’s run as the head coach of USA Basketball. He won gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. Bronny also triggered an avalanche of reactions this month when he posted a pic of himself wearing a Duke Basketball sweatshirt on Twitter.

If Bronny lands at Duke, he would continue the tradition of sons of former NBA players willing to play for Coach K, following stars like Austin Rivers, Seth Curry, Justise Winslow, Jabari Parker, Gary Trent Jr., Justin Robinson and Antonio Vrankovic.

“I would love to see the floor with my son. My son is in the eighth grade now. If he continues on the path that he’s on right now, he could possibly be in the NBA in 5-6 years. So that would be an unbelievable moment for not only myself but for my family, for everybody. So we’ll see,” LeBron said.

“Happy 14th Bday to my first born Bronny! U make me proud every single day to say you’re my son. Continue to set a great example to your lil brother, sister and being the man of the house when your pops is on the road for work. I love the young man you’ve grown into and this is just the beginning! Looking forward to continuing seeing your growth in everything you do! Love you Bronny!” he wrote for Bronny’s birthday.
