Patriots Gave Health Update On TE Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots are back on the field and they are getting ready for the game against the Minnesota Vikings. Who will play in the Week 13 contest? They are at the start of a new week of practice, and we can now see the first injury report. The good news is that most of the players are healthy. The Patriots are finally getting back to track. Fully equipped, right? Even tight end Rob Gronkowski is here!

Tight end Dwayne Allen was the only player missing from Wednesday’s practice. He still recovers from his knee injury, and did not play in the Week 12 game against the Jets. Initial reports confirmed that Allen will miss a few weeks, and his absence was sort of expected. The best takeaway of the last injury report is related to Gronkowski.

The star tight end was removed from the injury report, and we can imagine Brady’s excitement. Gronk feels great at the moment, and it seems like he has recovered from his back and ankle ailments. The tight end missed three of the team’s last four games, and returned to the field right on time. In Sunday’s game against the Jets, Gronk caught three passes for 56 yards and had a 34-yard touchdown.

“I feel good. It was a lot of hard work to get to where I am, so now I just have to keep it going,” he said after the win.

Here is Wednesday’s injury report:

TE Dwayne Allen (knee) – Did Not Participate
QB Tom Brady (knee) – Limited
DB Nate Ebner (knee) – Limited
WR Julian Edelman (foot) – Full Participant

New England is taking it slow with Brady in practice, and he was on the field on Wednesday.

“I’m certainly doing better this week. We had the game against Tennessee where I got a little nicked up and then had the bye week and was hoping to have a full week of practice, and it just didn’t allow for it. I’m feeling a lot better. A little flu has been going around, but I’m feeling a lot better and hopefully I really turned the corner with my knee this week,” he said on Monday.
