James White Shares Why Josh Gordon Picked Up Patriots’ Offense Quickly

Josh Gordon arrived in Foxboro earlier in the season, and he made sure fans notice him. His teammates are impressed by the way he handles the game in New England, and James White knows how to say it right.

The New England Patriots acquired Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns in September. Gordon had 22 receptions and two touchdowns in his new home. The wide receiver was considered a troubled player, but this did not stop the Patriots from signing him. They were well aware of his potential. And Gordon proved them right. He was brilliant in the last few games.

Many would agree that the Patriots’ offense is not easy to pick up, and most players cannot fit in the squad. Some of them had to leave the team because of this, and others got limited playing time. However, that was not Gordon’s case. He build a strong chemistry with quarterback Tom Brady, and it looks like they have been on the same team for years. Yes, Gordon is that great.

The wide receiver dealt with problems caused by substance abuse and mental health throughout his professional career. But, he is an excellent player, and fits great in the strict organization.

“He’s just working hard at it. Taking all the coaching points, asking questions, maybe getting those extra routs on the side during defensive period. Just putting the work in. He’s bought into the process and it really shows on game day. He’s been improving each and every week,” James White said of his teammate during his press conference.

Gordon had at least two receptions in each contest and tied a season high with five great receptions during the Patriots’ Week 9 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The wide receiver was targeted 10 times. He will definitely keep doing his job at Nissan Stadium on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
