LeBron And Luke Walton Prediction Made, Lakers Replacement Debated

Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson had a meeting with Luke Walton, and discussed the team’s slow start to the season. Of course, Luke Walton is safe for not. That’s what Magic Johnson said when he came forward with a response to the rumors that Walton would be sacked.

Luke Walton will have to go in case something really bad happens.

“Yeah, we’re not going to fire him. The meeting last week with Walton wasn’t even a meeting about that. we just have to be better, and that was it. He is going to finish the season, unless something drastic happens, which it won’t,” Johnson said.

Former NBA Star Rose believes that Walton will be kicked out. “I clearly don’t speak with Jeanie Buss, Magic Johnson or Rob Pelinka but what this tells me is this will be the only season that Luke Walton coaches LeBron James with the Lakers. Magic said Walton will coach the remainder of the year unless things go bad. If things go bad, he’s going to be out earlier than anticipated,” Rose told ESPN.

When asked if he believes Magic Johnson has text Ty Lue just to check in, Rose said, “When you’re in a position of leadership and management, you’re always trying to figure out what’s next. I like Luke Walton, I think he did a terrific job with Golden State. He also did a good job of developing the young Lakers talent. You know how hard it is to develop a team that just got drafted? They had [Julius] Randle, Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart – that’s a lot to manage as a head coach.”

“And when he’s not the Lakers coach, he will be in line for another job. But this situation, once Magic goes public and we know the team won’t meet championship expectations, that makes me believe this will be his only season if he lasts coaching LeBron James in LA.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
