LeBron James Makes Bold Claim About Defensive Coaching Staff

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings, and that was actually a pleasant surprise for every NBA fan. Lakers head coach Luke Walton had sort of a different approach to the game after his meeting with Magic Johnson. LeBron James credited the defensive coaching stuff for creating such an awesome strategy.

We just keyed in on our principles. We had a hell of a game plan and we executed it. It’s up to us to execute it, and we did that for 48 minutes,” LeBron said of the defensive coaching staff.

The Kings may be one of the worst teams in the NBA, but the Lakers did not underestimate them. They confronted them with grace.

“We won the game tonight with our defense. We’ve been seeing the progress, but it was good to see a full game of it,” Luke Walton said.

“We’re getting better and better if I do say so myself… We’re just playing defense as a team. I feel like we were playing some okay individual defense, but now I feel like we’re all synced in,” JaVale McGee had great comments for Saturday’s game.

McGee was of great contribution to the win. The Lakers cannot really brag with too many one-on-one defenders, and they will have to work better on their defense. They will have to work off each other in order to succeed.

Lonzo Ball talked about the Lakers’ approach and the importance of their defense. “It’s always going to be defense for us. Offense is not really a problem. We got a lot of talented guys who can put the ball in the hole, so as long as we get stops we’ll be okay,” he said.

The Lakers may have had a poor start, but they are doing a great job now. Let’s hope that they will keep up the good job.
