LeBron James Reacts To Jimmy Butler Being Traded To Philadelphia

Jimmy Butler made his way out of Minnesota after the Timberwolves and Philadelphia Sixers agreed to a trade deal that probably ended up creating a new superforce in the Eastern Conference.

Butler will play alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid in Philadelphia. The Sixers will be sending a package consisted of Dario Saric and Robert Covington.

LeBron James defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Stables Center a few days ago, and he came forward with a reaction to the trade deal hours before the Lakers road game against the Sacramento Kings.

“I don’t know… I mean, obviously we all know what’s been going on in Minnesota with Jimmy from the beginning. So I guess they both feel – I mean I think it’s good for both sides, I guess. They weren’t happy, Jimmy wasn’t happy. I think were a contender before. It only enhances what they are able to do. They’ve got Ben and Joel and now you add in Jimmy, I think that is going to be a very, very good team,” LeBron said.

LeBron James, Magic Johnson and the rest of the Lakers are thankful that the Timberwolves signed a deal that ships Butler to the Eastern Conference instead of taking the Rockets’ haul of first-round picks and designing another obstacle in the West.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Timberwolves were trying to avoid any deal that would send Butler to their potential rivals in the race for a playoff spot.

The Butler saga is over, and many NBA teams in the Western Conference can relax now. There is no threat on their way, and this can be great in several aspects. The Lakers sure benefit from this trade deal, and the same applies to some of their rivals. Let’s see how will Butler handle the game in the Eastern Conference.
