LeBron Reveals Which Player Lakers ‘Missed’ In Magic Loss

The Los Angeles Lakers lost Saturday’s game to the Orlando Magic, and LeBron James says the team missed one specific player.

Rajon Rondo will miss a few games due to his hand injury, and according to LeBron, the Lakers missed him during the game against the Magic. The Lakers had their second loss in eight games. Nikola Vucevic scored 36 points for the Magic, and that’s absolutely amazing. He helped the team win.

This loss put the Lakers outside of the play-off spots in the Western Conference. Their 8-7 record is not something you cheer on.

Despite the impressive opening quarter in which the team had a six-point lead, the Los Angeles Lakers melted in the middle portion of the game. King James led the team’s scoring with 22 points, but there was no defensive cohesion which led to the Lakers loss.

Veteran guard Rajon Rondo broke his hand earlier this week during the great game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He will miss at least three games.

Rondo is of great importance for the team in terms of running plays and popping up with double figures each match. When asked about the loss and Rondo’s absence, LeBron said they missed the veteran “in the second line-up. We’ve had such a great run.”

“Our rotation, we lose that a bit without Rondo. A lot of guys are going into positions they haven’t been into the last five or six games,” he said.

When asked about the defeat, LeBron said the performance was “uncharacteristic.”

“After the first quarter we were pretty bad,” he admitted.

“Defensively we had a lot of breakdowns, which is uncharacteristic of us as of late. We give Orlando credit, they got into positions where they just got the better of us, being in the right spots at the right time. Orlando have been playing well at home, scoring a lot of points, and we just didn’t have our defensive keys down like we have the last few games.”
