Patriots Earn Important Place In AFC Standings After Win Over Jets, Steelers Loss

The New England Patriots struggled a lot in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, but managed to win the game 27-13. This is good news for Patriots fans as the team moved to the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff race.

New England got a little help from other teams. The Denver Broncos won the Week 12 game over the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17.The result was sealed in the final minutes after Ben Roethlisberger threw a careless interception right at the goal line. This gave the Patriots a chance to move up in the AFC playoff battle.

The Patriots entered Sunday’s game as the No. 3 seed. If they keep the pace in the next few weeks, the Week 15 game with the Pittsburgh Steelers can become a bye-week clinching game. If the Steelers fall again this season, it will be the end for their chance to play at least one home contest in the playoff race and a first-round bye.

Pittsburgh is hosting the Chargers next week. They will the Raiders in Week 14, and Patriots are coming in town in Week 15. New Orleans is next in the line, and the Bengals will be the last this year.

If the Saints still struggle for NFC positioning, it is considered an easy contest to circle as a loss for the Steelers.
When it comes to New England, they are now focusing on the No. 1 seed that’s now taken by the Kansas City Chiefs. But, the Patriots can easily change this and secure their way to the grand victory.

After the Week 12 bye, the Kansas City Chiefs are confronting the Raiders. They will play the Ravens in Week 14, and the Chargers come in Week 15. In Week 16 they are travelling to Seattle and play the Raiders again.
