Patriots Gaining Home-Field More Important Than In Year’s Past

The New England Patriots have a good season so far despite the fact that their last contest was terrible.

The Patriots are dominant in every game at Gillette Stadium, and they are also a potent road team with a few losses here and there. Quarterback Tom Brady and his teammates secured a nice spot in the conference and were able to host the AFC Championship in Foxboro. This helped them celebrate three Super Bowl wins in the last four years.

This year, the Patriots struggled a lot on the road. They are entering the bye week in Week 11, and the team is 2-3 on the road. One of their wins came against the worst team in the league – the Buffalo Bills. The last road loss happened on Sunday. The Patriots lost the game against the Tennessee Titans 34-10, and this was their worst performance this year.

“You got to show up and play wherever you are, and we didn’t do that Sunday. You know, it’s frustrating, and the only thing we can do is go back to work this week. We still have six games left. We got to take advantage of this week off and get better, improve on a lot of things and come roaring out the gate these last six games,” Patriots center David Andrew said after the big loss.

The struggle on the road may affect the remaining six games on the Patriots’ schedule. In their five home games this season, the team totaled 21 touchdowns and 2,201 total yards. In their five games on the road, the Patriots had just eight touchdowns and 1,564 yards.

After Week 10, the Steelers and Chiefs occupy the No. 1 and No. 2 seed.

Can the Patriots improve their game on the road? That’s something they should definitely work on.
