Report: Patriots Gave Injury Update On Julian Edelman’s Ankle

The New England Patriots can finally relax when it comes to Julian Edelman and his ankle injury.

With just eight minutes to play in the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ 34-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 10, Julian Edelman left the match due to an ankle injury. The wideout headed straight to the locker room. Now we have more info on his condition.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed that Edelman’s ankle injury is not serious, adding that he will not miss much time. According to Schefter, Edelman’s condition will be monitored, but everything is fine at the moment.

The Patriots are entering their bye in Week 11, and Edelman will have more time to rest his ankle before confronting the New York Jets in Week 12.

Edelman had a great game last Sunday, but he was far from happy with the outcome. “We didn’t execute and we got outplayed. They started fast and we didn’t. You better learn from a game like this, because the weeks get harder and harder. That’s a good football team. They’re well coached and have good players. You tip your hat to them, but we got to go out and we’ve got to watch this film and we’ve got to fix it because this is when you start separating or you start falling behind,” he said.

When asked if he is concerned by the margin of defeat, the wideout said, “Any time you lose like that it’s always concerning. You know, we’ve got a resilient bunch of guys and we’re going to go back to work, take advantage of this week and that’s what we’ll do.”

“We got a bye week, so you’re going to go into that bye week with a dirty taste in your mouth. So, you could either do well from it or you could tank it. So, we go out and take advantage of it this week, and I’m sure our coaches are going to have us ready. Guys going to be out there fiery and it’s up to us,” Edelman said of the bye week.
