Report: Patriots Made Their Decision For Gronkowski’s Status Vs. Titans

The New England Patriots will confront the Tennessee Titans Sunday, and the team dropped the final decision on tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski will be of great help for the team in January as he is at his full strength at that point of the year. The tight end was listed as questionable due to his back and ankle issues. Gronk did not reveal much about his status for Sunday’s contest, and said it was more a “coach’s decision.”

Sources close to the team revealed that the tight end will not play against the Titans. The team will probably rest him in November and allow him to restore his top form down the stretch.

Gronk talked to media members, revealing that he cannot wait to return to his dominance. But, this time off will sure help him.

“It’s been more challenging, just with the obstacles in the way. But it’s life. You’ve got to take them on, and that’s what I’m doing. Just got to get back to where I need to be and just be myself when I get back. It’ll all be good,” Gronkowski said of his season.

The tight end will not play in Week 10, and we will probably not see him in Week 11. Gronk has 27 days off before coming back to action in Week 12 against the Jets.

We did not see Gronkowski playing in Week 7 against the Bears or Week 9 against the Packers.

“Just working hard right now. That’s the track I’m looking at. I just see positivity. I see it going strong in the future,” he said.

The Patriots added Gronk to their injury report for the first time in Week 3 due to his ankle injury. In Week 7, he suffered a back issue, and was not removed from the report since then.
