Report: Patriots Reveal Tom Brady Dealing With Injury

The Patriots had their Wednesday practice and almost everyone was spotted on the field. The team is getting ready for their game against the New York Jets, but reporters noticed something strange during the session. New England missed some of the high profile players, including quarterback Tom Brady.

Tom Brady was limited participant due to a knee injury. It is not a serious injury, and the quarterback will play on Sunday. However, his condition will be monitored in the next couple of days.

Tight end Dwayne Allen was the only player missing from the practice as he still recovers from his knee injury. He is expected to miss a few weeks due to his knee issue. Reports suggest that he will not require a surgery, and that’s a rather encouraging info for all the fans out there.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski will play after missing three of the team’s last four games. He was limited participant on Wednesday, but his condition is good at the moment.

Here is the full injury report for New England:

TE Dwayne Allen (knee) – Did Not Participate
QB Tom Brady (knee) – Limited
TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) – Limited
G Shaq Mason (calf) – Limited
RB Sony Michel (Knee) – Limited
WR Julian Edelman (foot) – Full Participant

The New York Jets were also plagued with injuries this season. First round rookie Sam Darnold recovers from his foot injury and did not show up on Wednesday. We do not have any info regarding him, but Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is impressed by Darnold.

“A big, strong guy, he’s got a good arm, can make all the throws – a lot of talent,” Belichick said.

“I’ve been very impressed with him. I think he can make every throw. He’s got a quick release. I think he’s mentally tough. You go back to Week 1, he throws an interception on the first play ever, and he comes back, doesn’t get rattled, comes back in and obviously leads them to victory. So, this guy, he’s an impressive young player. You’re not finding many rookies in this league who can come back from that type of adversity, so I think he’s a special talent. I think he’s already kind of emerged as a great leader for them. I think this is going to be a tough test for us,” Flores said during his conference call.
