Report: Patriots Rule Out Two In Final Injury Report For Week 9 Game

The New England Patriots ruled out two players for their upcoming contest against the Green Bay Packers. The team released the final injury report of the week, and as you can see, they ruled out starting right guard Shaq Mason and backup lineman Brian Schwenke. Thirteen other players were ruled as questionable.

The injury report is not as scary as it seems. According to statistics, Mason is more important than Schwenke for this game. He suffered an injury during Monday’s game over the Buffalo Bulls, and missed practice all week. That’s why we were not really surprised to see him out. There is a great chance that Ted Karras starts at right guard between center David Andrews and right tackle Marcus Cannon. The New England Patriots drafted him in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was ruled questionable after being added to Friday’s injury report. Patterson was limited in practice due to his neck injury.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski was limited on Friday and missed Thursday’s practice, and it was just a maintenance day. Gronk is ruled as questionable for the game against the Packers, but Mike Giardi of the NFL Network believes that New England will bring the tight end on the field.

Here is the final injury report:

RG Shaq Mason (calf) – OUT
OL Brian Schwenke (foot) – OUT
LT Trent Browns (ankle) – Questionable
RT Marcus Cannon (concussion) – Questionable
LS Joe Cardona (shoulder) – Questionable

The Patriots better get ready for this game as it is considered as one of the greatest contests this season.
