Report: Tom Brady Addresses Rumors About Josh McDaniels Leaving Patriots

Josh McDaniels was doing a great job with the New England Patriots, but his future is in doubt. Again.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Josh McDaniels is open to become head coach in the NFL. He also considered to join the Cleveland Browns after the team fired Hue Jackson.

I know that sounds crazy, considering he pulled out of the Colts job last year, but I’m told he is open to potential head coaching opportunities,” Rapoport reported.

The Patriots defeated the Green Bay Packers, and quarterback Tom Brady talked about the offensive coordinator and the possibility that he leaves the team. Brady told reporters that they have to ask McDaniels, and also said that he is under contract with the Patriots for a long time.

“You can ask that to Josh. Josh will have as much opportunity as anyone out there because he’s the best in the league at what he does. Everyone is going to want that. I know the Patriots want him coaching for us. He’s under contract with our team for a long time and that is a great thing for the Patriots,” Brady said.

This is not the first time for Josh McDaniels to get involved in head coaching gigs. He had several interviews in the last few years, and even accepted the position with the Colts last season. Well, he changed his mind and decided to stay in New England.

It was sort of clear that he would replace head coach Bill Belichick. He signed a five-year contract extension with the Pats. However, McDaniels really likes to be a head coach, and he may use the next opportunity that comes his way. Will he coach the Cleveland Browns? Let’s wait and find out. Will the Patriots let him go? This is a rather serious condition.
