Tom Brady Broke His Silence About Facing Malcolm Butler In Week 10 Game

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady enjoyed this season and was of great help for the team. Brady practically led the team to every win this season. But, he always has words of praise for cornerbacks Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan.

I really enjoyed playing with those guys and playing against them in practice. They certainly challenged us on every play. They’ve gone on to have some really great contracts, and I’m happy for them. They really earned it. I think when you’re a great player, you get the opportunity to do that. I know we can’t keep everybody, but I’m obviously happy for them and what they’ve accomplished,” the quarterback said of Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan.

Butler and Ryan won two Super Bowls during their time with the Patriots, and sealed a thick deal with the Tennessee Titans after becoming free agents.

Ryan inked a three-year deal worth $30 million after the 2016 season. Butler joined the team this past offseason, and he will get $61.25 million withing five years.

“They were hugely impactful in what we were trying to do in the roles that they played. Logan was a great player, still is — incredible awareness and just such a smart player. And Malcolm, I’ve always loved playing against him and in practice, it was very competitive. He’s a very competitive person. He wants to try to win every play, and hopefully we can have a good plan against that entire defense,” Brady said.

The quarterback supported Butler after head coach Bill Belichick benched him in Super Bowl LII. He supported the cornerback on social media and expressed confusion over Belichick’s decision.

The Patriots replaced Butler with Jason McCourty. In his first season with the Titans, Butler allowed the most catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns than other NFL cornerbacks.

Good luck, guys!
