Tom Brady Gives Update On Gronkowski’s Progression

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is ‘dying’ to get Gronk back on the field. The same applies to the tight end. Rob Gronkowski missed too many games, and we know that he cannot be out of the field for too long.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that Gronkowski will join the team after missing three games due to his back and ankle injuries. The quarterback went on WEEI’s Mut and Callahan on Monday morning, and talked about Gronk’s return. He did not really say that the tight end will come back, but spoke of the difference Gronk makes on the field.

We’ll see. I don’t know. We’ll see how it goes, We haven’t even practiced this week. I think he’s itching to get back. He’s a big difference-maker when he’s on the field. I hope he is out there, but we’ll see. It is up to the trainers and coaches and up to Rob to see how he feels. We have practice this week, and we’ll see what we can do,” Brady said.
During his presser last week, Brady said that the Patriots do not try some plays because Gronk is not on the field.

“When he’s not there, there’s just a different level with other players. Sometimes we don’t try some things because Gronk Rob Gronkowski’s not in there, sometimes we do. Obviously the more dependable, consistent players you have on the field, the more productive and efficient you’ll be which leads to scoring more points, which leads to better opportunities to win the game, which is ultimately the reason why we’re all here. You know, just understanding what we all do well consistently and to try to do those things over and over again makes for a successful team,” Brady said last week.

Gronkowski was not as successful as he used to be in the last few years. He was able to catch just 29 passes for 448 yards and a touchdown.
