Tom Brady’s Status Vs. Jets Revealed

Patriots fans can exhale now. Although Tom Brady’s status for Week 12 was questionable, the quarterback is expected to suit up for the big game.

Tom Brady will play on Sunday against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, as confirmed by Mike Giardi of the NFL Network. Brady was limited in practice throughout the whole week, but the new info on his status was a pleasant surprise for us all.

“Tom Brady put all of New England in a panic on Friday by not practicing and that is very rare for Tom. In fact, the last time that I could come up with something that equated to that where he missed a Friday practice and then played on Sunday was back in 2015. Of course, he threw for 267 yards against the Titans and two touchdowns and the Patriots won 33-16. Brady will play today. Whatever it is is not enough to keep him out of the game,” Giardi said.

The quarterback injured his knee while trying to catch a pass from Julian Edelman in Week 10. His condition is fine, and his teammates were not worried about Brady.

“No, just got to keep doing what we’ve got to do. You’ve got to focus on doing your job and when there’s not a player like that in – because he runs the offense and everything – you’ve just got to be more alert and more aware and just got to make sure you’re on top of your job and your assignment and everything. Because no lie, he knows the playbook inside and out, basically every position, so if he’s not in there, you’ve just got to make sure you know what you’re doing, your knowledge and do your job,” tight end Rob gronkowski said when asked about Brady’s absence from Friday’s practice.
