Watch: LeBron Reacts To Lakers Win Over Trail Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers got their second straight win – and fourth overall – on the 2018-19 NBA season in Portland against the Trail Blazers on Saturday night. Afterwards, Lakers forward LeBron James spoke to media members about the game.

“We defended as close to 48 minutes as we’ve done all year,” James said, via the Los Angeles Times. “Especially in a hostile building like this. We haven’t had much success as a franchise here in a long time or against this team, period, either home or away. It’s a good win.”

The Lakers lost a large lead to the Blazers, but were ultimately able to pull the win out,and James thinks that the experience of playing in a close game will help the team.

“We would love to be able to go out and blow them away but we gotta learn what can we run down the stretch when it’s close,” James said.“Defensively, who’s gonna be the defensive lineups. We’re still mishmashing and things of that nature. We’ve been in positions where we’ve lost this game. This is the second time we’ve been in this position and won.”

James also gave some props to Rajon Rondo, who provided the Lakers with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists off of the bench.

“Everything, he did everything,” James said of Rondo. “Rebounding. Defensive rebounding. He got his shots, he got other peole involved. He’s a point of attack on both sides of the floor.”

The Lakers don’t have much time to bask in their victory over the Blazers, as they will be back in action on Sunday night when they host the Toronto Raptors.
