NFL Reactions To Belichick’s Argument With Adam Thielen

The New England Patriots defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and this was definitely one of the best games in the regular season. The Patriots sort of struggled in the past few contests, but defeating a playoff contender like Minnesota is a good thing. However, that’s not the most talked about bit of the game. Everyone is still talking about the exchange between Bill Belichick and Adam Thielen.

Thielen and Belichick exchanged a few comments on the sideline, and even referees had to intervene. The situation was so heated that Thielen still had the courage to go after the coach. The media enjoyed the moment, and shared a few comments.

“Belichick with a very clear “shut the …. up” to Thielen who was over at Pats sideline grousing before the challenge,” Tom E. Curran tweeted.

The whole thing started when the head coach was trying to challenge a call on fourth down.

“From the lip-reading department:

Adam Thielen (yelling in referee’s direction, close to Bill Belichick, after Belichick threw challenge flag but had extra time ase Patrick Chung was injured): ‘That’s bull—‘

Bill Belichick (looking in Thielen’s direction): ‘Shut the f— up,’” Mike Reiss tweeted.

“Adam Thielen said he has to keep his cool regarding his yelling at Bill Belichick Said he was mad that a player went down for patriots giving them more time to challenge,” Chris Tomasson wrote.

“Belichick and Thielen yelling at each other has to be because they know they are supposed to be together.” Is there any chance that Thielen joins the Pats one day? He sure fits their criteria.

Others agreed that this exchange was even better than the game. The matchup was sort of over by the time Belichick and Thielen said those words.

“Belichick yelling at Adam Thielen to “shut the …. up” is the new highlight of the 2018 Pats season,” Bill Simmons tweeted.
