Josh Gordon Has Knack For Catching Milestone TDs From Tom Brady

Josh Gordon has been playing nine games with the New England Patriots, and has already made historic plays with quarterback Tom Brady.

In Week 5, Josh Gordon was set on the receiving end of the quarterback’s 500th touchdown pass in the season, and this was his first score wearing a Patriots uniform. In Week 13, Gordon hauled in another touchdown from the quarterback, and this was Brady’s 508th of his career which brings him closer to Brett Favre. This was also Brady’s 579th touchdown pass including regular seasons and playoffs which pulls him up to Peyton Manning.

I did not know that stat line, but it must be fate, I guess – I won’t say coincidence – but it’s great to be on the receiving end of it. I am extremely humbled to come out here every Sunday and get a chance to play, let alone with Tom Brady, the greatest to ever do it. So, to be a part of history with him? I can’t really even put the words to describe what that means to me. But, it’s just great to have the opportunity,” Gordon said.

“Well, Josh has done a good job for us since he’s been here. He’s worked hard to learn the offense, a lot of new things that he’s had to adjust to. He’s been consistent and dependable on the field and off the field. We’ll just have to see how it goes. Keep doing it. He’s done a good job for us. He’s certainly helped us move the ball and help us win some games. If he continues to do that, great,” head coach Bill Belichick said on Monday.

“It felt like home a long time ago. The atmosphere is very welcoming. It took me a little bit to get acclimated to the area. Other than that, it’s been pretty smooth so far, and that’s due in part to the facility, the organization, just everybody helping me along the way,” Gordon said.
