Devin McCourty Gives Candid Answer To Patriots Struggles In Miami

Facing the Miami Dolphins was quite a challenge for the New England Patriots. The team was able to win just one game in their five trips to Miami. When asked about the problems his teammates have in Miami, Patriots safety Devin McCourty had a pretty honest response.

“We’ve just sucked,” McCourty said.

Well, we believe that his teammates will have a similar response. Last year, the Dolphins snapped the eight game wining streak of New England, defeating the Patriots 27-20. During this game, quarterback Tom Brady completed 24 of his 43 passes for 233 yards, a lone touchdown and two picks. He was sacked twice and hit in six occasions.

The Dolphins had a nice yardage. The Patriots allowed Jay Cutler to throw for 263 yards and three touchdowns.
Tom Brady talked to Westwood One’s Jim Gray, and addressed shared more info about his visits of Miami.

“It’s been a challenging environment. I think the climate plays some role and they always seem to play well when they play us down there. We are not going to get beat by the weather, we’re going to get beat by the Dolphins. That is what we realize. We’re going up against a good opponent that plays us very well at home. We play them very well at home. It is just one of those series where it is kind of like that,” the quarterback said.

“We have to get our mind right. We have to have a great week of preparation and go down there and try and play a great game against a team that has really hung in there — 6-6. They’ve battled. They have had some injuries. We’re 9-3, but if we win it is a lot of upside for us.”

The Dolphins are 6-6 this season, and they will sure use an extra effort to win this game.
