Bill Belichick Puts Miami Loss In Perfect Perspective

The New England Patriots will long remember their loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. There were 16 seconds left of the game, and the Patriots loss their chance to win the game. Nobody could predict that, and time worked against Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and the rest of the time.

The time ticked zero, and Miami players lateraled the football around, sending it to running back Kenyan Drake who pushed it straight into the end zone. 34-33 was the final score, and it is one of the most demoralizing defeat in the regular season. head coach Bill Belichick went on WEEI’s Ordway, Merloni and Fauria, and talked about the message he has for the team.

“Look, it’s the National Football League. Nobody died. Got a big game this week against Pittsburgh. We have a two-game lead in the division. There’s a lot of football left in the season. We’ll see how it goes,” the head coach said.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are next on their list.

“They hit the quarterback a lot. I think they are right at the top of the league in sacks. They have gotten a lot of pressure from their front. Very explosive offensively. We’ve seen that. James Conner has had a great year for them. Not sure what exactly his status is, but I am sure anybody and everybody that can be ready to go in this game will be there — both teams. We’ll see how it goes, but certainly we have a lot of respect for Pittsburgh and they are strong in every area of the game. We’ll need to play well. Last year’s game came down to, same thing, final play. I am sure it will be tough out there like it always is,” Belichick said of the upcoming game.

Let’s see if the Patriots are ready for the challenge.
