LeBron Clarified His ‘here or the Garden’ Comment To Dwyane Wade

LeBron James played the final game against Dwyane Wade last night, and the duo met for a postgame conversation. The whole thing was caught on camera, and everybody still discuss about the comments LeBron made. He told Wade “it was either here or the Garden,” referring to the venue for the final matchup.

Some said that LeBron actually considered inking deal with the New York Knicks in his free agency. If that was the case, he would have played against Wade on the Knicks’ home court at Madison Square Garden. So, was his “here of the Garden” comment related to the Knicks?

New York has a massive market and branding opportunities, and the team also needs more stars to stir things up a bit. There were rumors suggesting that LeBron considered signing with the Knicks in his free agency.

The king decided to explain things a bit further on Monday, adding his comment was more about the prestige of the historic venue than his plan to sign a contract with the Knicks.

One cannot really argue against the MSG which is considered as “The World’s Most Famous Arena.” King James praised the venue, its mystique and the atmosphere in several occasions. Wade will retire at the end of the season, and he has similar feelings for the building.

This explains a lot. Maybe LeBron did not even think of joining the Knicks. His explanation will probably disappoint some of the Knicks fans who thought that the king will join their favorite team.

LeBron James made his final decision, and went to Los Angeles at the beginning of his free agency. There were other teams in play, but he went for the Lakers. And that was one awesome decision. The Lakers are having a great season despite their poor start. LeBron’s game is of great help on the court.
