Lakers Decided Whether They’ll Trade Ingram Says NBA Executive

The Los Angeles Lakers have been making headlines in the past few months, and things got heated up when they landed LeBron James. The Lakers also added Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee in order to boost the roster. However, Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus revealed that an NBA front office executive believes that the Lakers will trade Brandon Ingram in order to get another star.

I think they wait until the summer to look into a big move involving a player like Ingram, the agent said. That gives them more time to get the best deal.

An NBA executive agreed, calling Ingram the ‘1-A in a package for a big-time player [after the season],’ and suggested names like Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards or CJ McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers for Los Angeles. ‘Hart or Kuzma would probably need to be the 1-B.’

‘[Ingram] will probably be traded at some point, whether it’s for a second or third star,’ another NBA front-office executive said.”

Another NBA exec said that the Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal or Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum are considered top targets. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said that the Wizards may be open to trade Beal or John Wall when given a right offer. However, the acquisition of veteran forward Trevor Ariza helps the Wizards in their efforts to contend for a playoff spot.

LeBron James came to the team because of the young core. The Lakers expected a lot from Ingram.

In his 20 games, Brandon Ingram averaged 15.2, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting 47.0 percent from the field. He scored in double figures in all but two contests that he played in this season. In one of those games he suffered an ankle injury.

It is definitely possible that the Lakers agree to part ways with Brandon for the right price.
