Carmelo Anthony Hints He Will Ditch LeBron James And Lakers For Shock Switch

Carmelo Anthony did something to show that he is reaty snub a move to join LeBron James in Los Angeles.

The free agent has already sent a cryptic message to Kevin Durant and Steph Curry suggesting that he wants to join their team. The Houston Rockets released Carmelo last month after trying to get more minutes. Melo was linked with LeBron James and the Lakers, and the king himself encouraged such move.

But, Carmelo made something that got us thinking that he is already on his way to the Golden State Warriors. He wrote “legggo” on Twitter in a direct message to Durant and Curry.

“Legggo” stands for “let’s go,” and it was enough for fans to start talking that Carmelo is getting ready for a new deal with the Warriors.

The post does not exist on social media, but we have the screenshots.

LeBron James talked about the idea of playing alongside Anthony in Los Angeles. “Obviously I don’t run the team,” LeBron said.

“But it is a thing that will need to be worked on both sides. I have always wanted to play along with Melo. If the opportunity presents itself it would be great. That’s where we’re at,” he said.

Marc Stein of the New York Times said the Lakers have already resisted the approach for Anthony.

“The teams most often mentioned as potential landing spots for Anthony – Philadelphia [76ers] and LeBron James’s Lakers – have resisted the idea thus far. Charlotte has likewise passed to date, despite rumbles that the Hornets would naturally consider him.”

Is Carmelo really signing a deal with the Golden State Warriors? The Los Angeles Lakers made plans that include him, but this tweet sure spoils their ideas. How will things end for Carmelo? Let’s wait and find out. Will LeBron James react to this?
