New England Patriots Playoff Scenarios Heading Into Week 17

The New England Patriots are making their way to the playoff race, and Week 16 brought them a lot of luck. Who is the ultimate winner now?

Quarterback Tom Brady and other Patriots are now trying to get to a better position and hit the right spot for the Super Bowl run. The team clinched the tenth consecutive title after defeating the Buffalo Bills past Sunday. Things developed in their favor, and now the team jumped to the No. 2 seed. The Patriots made sure they celebrate the playoff success.

There are a few playoff scenarios set in place for New England, and there is a great chance that they reach the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Patriots have to defeat the New York Jets next Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs have to lose the game to the Oakland Raiders, and the Denver Broncos have to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs and Patriots will be 11-5 on the regular season. The Patriots have a tiebreaker over the Chiefs after the Week 6 win, and that brings him ahead of Kansas City.

The Raiders do not really have a chance against the Chiefs, and the Patriots enjoy some home-field advantage. New England has to win the game over the Jets. If they lose it, they will have to cross their fingers and hope that the Texans will lose the game to the Jaguars.

The Eagles did defeat the Houston in Week 16.

“Nick Foles plays his best ball in December and he’s a competitor. We’ve seen that in the Super Bowl, we’ve seen it leading up to the Super Bowl when he had to take over for the Eagles at the quarterback position last year. We know the type of player he is. Now he’s doing it all over again. Like I said, thank him for leading that offense today and especially on that two-minute drive. That takes guts. He did that against a really good team, the Texans, a defense that’s as good as anybody out there. We’ll definitely take it,” Duron Harmon said of Nick Foles.
