Lakers Handed Major Kevin Durant Update, LeBron James Role Questioned

Kevin Durant is not playing with the Los Angeles Lakers because he will not be credited for any accomplishments if he was to play alongside LeBron James.

That’s what Ric Bucher from the Bleacher Report said. Bucher interviewed a few NBA stars, such as Kevin Durant, Trevor Ariza and Damian Lillard. He was super interested in the players’ interest in joining LeBron James.

If you ask Durant, he will say that stars like Kawhi Leonard cannot play with LeBron. “Trying to pair him with LeBron James does not really make sense,” he said.

He also talked about the media’s behavior towards LeBron. According to him, it is “toxic,” and used the opportunity to say that some All-Stars do not want to play with LeBron because all the attention he gets from reporters.

But, we knot that the Lakers are probably going after him next summer as they consider him as a nice fit for LeBron’s magnitude.

The Los Angeles Lakers will have to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets in the process of landing Durant.

Will Durant re-sign with his team? If he decides to leave the squad, there is almost zero chance that he ends up in Los Angeles.

“He made a point of saying that guys like Kawhi or Paul George – he could see why they wouldn’t want to be in this atmosphere. He’s been somewhat coy about what his plans are for next year, he’s not committing one way or the other, whether it’s Golden State or exploring his free agent options. Everything else that I know about where he’ at mentally, I don’t think that he’s heading to L.A. I don’t think that he’s headed to play with LeBron. Largely because if he leaves Golden State it’s because he hasn’t got the credit for what he’s accomplished here because of what they already had,” Bucher said.

“He wouldn’t get that credit going to play with LeBron next so he’s looking for something other than that. But his description of that atmosphere I don’t believe is the thing that would discourage him from joining LeBron.”
