Lakers’ Tyson Chandler Releases Amazing Statement About LeBron James’ Leadership

Tyson Chandler signed a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers a month ago, and he already contributes to their game. The great star talked about LeBron James’ leadership and its impact on his role with the team.

Chandler praised LeBron, and said that he has always checked up on him both as a basketball player and person.

“Honestly, I fully expect everything that he gives. He’s been incredible for the game — a Hall of Famer on and off the court for his entire career. We’re close in (draft) classes, a couple years apart, so I’ve been able to watch his journey. I had nothing but respect for him before I got in the (same) locker room, how he’s been able to juggle his success, the expectations and then just the man that he’s become is nothing but respectable,” Chandler said.

He also talked about the benefits of playing alongside LeBron James, following his leadership. “I expected the leadership qualities that he has. And I think, as a player, you just get excited when you’re playing alongside one of those types of players — one of the greats that you know, if you get them close to the finish line, they’re able to deliver.”

Chandler signed his contract with the Lakers early in November, and has 13 appearances with the team. The veteran player averages 3.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 20.6 minutes per game.

It seems like the Lakers were the only team to give Chandler a chance to prove himself and his talent. He was more than happy to get the opportunity to play with team of this size, and the Lakers noticed the great change since his arrival. They were losing too many games before Chandler joined the team. he was their lucky charm after all.
