NFL Reacts To Patriots Shocking Last Second Loss Vs. Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins lost the game to the New England Patriots. That’s what everyone was expecting to see as the team extended the lead to 33-29 with 16 seconds left of the game. The Dolphins were forced to burn their timeouts on the final drive, and the Patriots found a way to kick a field goal. Miami failed to score on their kick return, and the whole thing ended with a wild game-ending plays in the league.

Kenyan Drake succeeded in scoring a 69-yard touchdown, and put the Dolphins ahead 34-33 as the clock was ticking. This win brought them 7-6, and they are still part of the AFC East race, and even improved the team’s chance of getting closer to the postseason.

New England lost control over the game. They will have to confront the Pittsburgh Steelers next week and get to where they belong. The NFL media still talks about it, and here are some of the hottest reactions.

The play in question included 69 yards and multiple laterals. This type of play works once in every four or five seasons. The Patriots did not have enough lock to get to the receiving end in this game.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski was given a role of deep safety in the troubling play that made the Dolphins winners.

“Putting Gronk out as a safety just in case a one-legged Tannehill can throw a 75-yards-in-the-air Hail Mary also might be the dumbest moment of the Belichick era,” Bill Simmons tweeted.

This is the time when Bill Belichick actually made an indefensible decision.

It is strange how the Patriots lost the game they actually won. They had 16 seconds to keep the lead, and lost it. That may be a burning loss, right? Hopefully, the guys will get over it sooner or later. The Miami saga continues.
