Suns’ Trevor Ariza Reveals Why Superstar Players No Longer Want To Play With LeBron James

Phoenix Suns forward Trevor Ariza is one of the top trade targets after NBA’s 15 deadline.

Trevor Ariza talked how most superstar players does not want to join LeBron James, and even offered his reasons for thinking this way.

Ariza said that Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins and Kawhi Leonard would gladly pass up on the chance to play with LeBron. Even Ariza would have avoided this opportunity if he was as awesome as them.

“If I was a free agent, I would have to consider everything. But my role is different than PG and Kawhi. They ask them to do different things than they ask of me. Guys similar to LeBron, why would they want to play with somebody who does all the same things? I can see why they would want to play elsewhere,” Ariza said.

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry said that “The LeBron Effect” has huge effect on player’s choice to join the Lakers.

“The media should change the narrative. Make that superstar be a superstar,” Ariza said.

“In other words, don’t automatically blame the supporting cast when a team falls short. Sometimes it’s the superstar who fell short.”

So, many superstar players will have to make a decision when it comes to their free agency. How will stars play with the opportunity they are given?

The Lakers are looking for other huge star to join LeBron James and the rest of the Lakers. That’s the only way to win championships. Even Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has an opinion on the matter.

“It’s a test of Bron’s patience and also doing what he needs to do to keep the team’s head above water. So, it’s a balancing act. They were struggling, Bron got the ball, took control, decided to start playing point, doing everything, doing everything. That’s not the recipe for winning championships by no means, but it is a recipe to keep your head above water, to give yourself a little breathing room and now it’s going back to teaching how to play the way that we want to play,” the legend said.
