Tom Brady Broke His Silence After Heartbreaking Loss Vs. Dolphins

The New England Patriots lost the game to the Miami Dolphins. This is the worst nightmare Tom Brady has ever had. Many would agree that this was the most heartbreaking loss in the regular season. The Dolphins managed to survive the game, and save their spot in the AFC race with their last-second touchdown.

Tom Brady was devastated after the awful play, and he really hoped that his team would stick to the 34-33 lead at Hard Rock Stadium.

Albert McClellan has his second blocked punt in the game, and New England faced a third-and-goal from the Dolphin’s 2-yard line with just 14 seconds of the second quarter of the contest. If things took a different turn for the Patriots, they would have gotten another shot at the end zone or even a chance for a field goal.

Instead of throwing the football away after noticing that his receivers are covered, Brady decided to hold it and was then sacked by defensive end Robert Quinn, stopping the Patriots from getting another play and sticking to their lead at six points.

The quarterback blamed himself for not making a good decision in that situation.

“That was a terrible play by me. That should never happen. I just lost track. I thought we had one timeout (remaining). We called the one, and we ran a couple plays, and I was just not thinking on third down. That was just a play that should never happen,” Brady said in his postgame press conference.

“It shouldn’t have come down to that. I think we left a lot more points on the board offensively. That’s football. They play well here. We haven’t. It’s that simple,” said Brady.

The Patriots star quarterback finished with 358 passing yards and three touchdowns. This was an emotional loss for New England. A tough blow.
