Tom Brady Shares View On Changing AFC Playoff Picture

The Chargers battle with the Chiefs on Thursday Night stirred things up a bit, and everyone is waiting for the full AFC Playoff picture.

Los Angeles was down by double numbers and was successful in pulling off the comeback and drawing even at 11-3 on the regular season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Thanks to this win, the Patriots have a greater chance to get to the No. 1 seed.

This was a rather exciting win for the Chargers, but Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a whole different dimension.

“I didn’t. I was asleep before kickoff,” Brady said when reporters asked him if he watched the game.

The quarterback admitted he knew what happened with the contest, but did not say much about its effect on the Patriots game in the rest of the season.

“I think we just worry about honestly what we can control and that’s it. It’s just us playing and whatever happens, happens. Coach has always said it’s not where we play, it’s how we play. We’ve just got to take care of business on our end. This is a big one, this is a tough one and we’re going to have to play really well,” Brady said.

At the moment, the Chargers and Chiefs have similar records after Thursday’s game, but Kansas City holds the No. 1 seed because of its record in the AFC West. There’s some good news, too. New England holds tiebreakers over the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs due to their head-to-head wins in the regular season.

If every team wins the remaining game on the year, the AFC Playoff picture will have the same “design”as it has today with the Kansas City Chiefs a the No. 1 seed. The Patriots are at No. 2, and Houston is at No. 3.
