Watch: Sony Michel Powers In For New England Patriots First Touchdown

The New England Patriot have no reason to worry as long as Sony Michel is playing.

The team had just 7:32 to play in the opening quarter of the Week 16 game against the Buffalo Bills, and Sony Michel brought the team up. The first round rookie did a really good job on the opening drive as the players handed it off to him four times. He carried it 39 yards and that score.

The Patriots were not really successful this season when it comes to handling short-yardage situations. However, Sony Michel better keep making plays like he did this time, and the team can hope for a positive development for the offense. That would be the perfect ending of the season right before the playoffs.

The Patriots are 8-1 on the year when they score first and 1-4 when they do not do that. This is Michel’s sixth touchdown of the regular season, and New England is 4-0 when he is able to find the end zone. This is actually good news for the team as they are off to a really brilliant start.

The Patriots have to win the game against the Buffalo Bills to ensure their AFC East crown. That would be the team’s ticket for the playoffs. If they manage to do that, the team will live through the tenth consecutive season in which they win the division, and that’s a NFL record.

The Patriots need this win, and they need it really bad. They do not have problems playing against the Bills and Jets, and we do not really have a reason to be worried about Tom Brady and the rest of the team. Haters said that Brady marked a decline in his play, but that’s far from the truth. He has a lot more to offer, and we cannot wait to see that.
