Philip Rivers Releases Surprising Statement About Facing Tom Brady In The Divisional Round

Philips Rivers has an excellent career, but Tom Brady has something more to offer.

Rivers set up a great match with the Patriots quarterback and the other players. He threw a great party on the field, and the Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 23-17. Rivers may score as much as he want, but he did not have much success against Brady.

“To get an opportunity again to go against them, 11 years after we had the opportunity in the 2007 season, yeah, it’s awesome. Looking forward to it,” he said.

Nick Foles managed to throw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate on fourth down with just 56 seconds left of the game. The Philadelphia Eagles played for a dramatic 16-15 win over the NFC North Champion Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Foles and the Eagles are going to New Orleans to confront Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles struggled against Brees and his teammates in a 48-7 loss.

The Chargers are confronting the Patriots in the first divisional playoff match next Sunday. Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts are playing Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sadurday. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are leading the Dallas Cowboys into Los Angeles to confront Todd Gurley and the Rams.

“It’s really just a chance to keep going on, simple as that. Me and this whole team, we want to win it all. You can’t do that without taking care of the first one. A lot of excitement, but my goal is bigger than just one playoff win,” Prescott said.

Rivers and Brady will meet for the third time in the playoffs.

“I’ve got to focus on defense. I’m not playing Tom by any means. But is it special to go to New England against a Hall of Fame coach and arguably the best quarterback ever to play and get another shot at ’em? Heck, yeah. Heck, yeah, it is special,” Rivers said.
