Luke Walton Being ‘Re-Evaluated’ As Head Coach Amid LeBron James Injury

Lakers head coach Luke Walton was in huge trouble after the team lost a few games after the LeBron James injury issue.

The head coach is now being “re-evaluated” for his position in the team as reported by NBA legend Paul Pierce. It seems like the Lakers struggle a lot on the field, and the head coach needed to be re-evaluated amid the James injury.

Walton struggles with the pressure at the moment, and everybody wants to see some results. The Lakers keep losing games, but you cannot blame it on the James injury only. Walton advised his teammates to rely on a natural leader on the court. The young players struggled a lot, and could not really win a game after LeBron was injured.

LeBron needed a lot of time to adjust his greatness to the new pace in Los Angeles. However, he did a really good job with the team, and brought them up in the Western Conference. The Christmas day injury pushed LeBron out of the court, and he has to miss a few games. After the James injury, the Lakers won just two games out of seven.

LA is now eighth in the Western Conference, and fans started calling for the head of the head coach. Kobe Bryant tried to put down the fire, but Pierce believes that the head coach is under constant review. Let’s not forget that he was hired before Magic Johnson took his position.

“He (Walton) is in a tough position because you bring LeBron on and you are expecting to win. Luke wasn’t the coach which Magic (Johnson) hired and Magic has taken over management now,” Pierce said. “Whenever you’re a Lakers coach there’s always pressure there. It is one of the great franchises in all of sports. They don’t like to lose so every year a coach is being re-evaluated and he is one of those coaches too.”

Kobe Bryant knows that LA loses games amid James injury

Bryant believes that the Lakers are plagued with injuries, suggesting that injuries are the only problem his former team has.

“Relax. Entire squad is damn near out. Were playing pretty well before that #gethealthy #lakerfam,” Bryant said.
