Tom Brady Makes Bold Statement About His Retirement Plans

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady promised to play until he is 45, we all know that. But, Patriots fans would really love to know more about Brady’s retirement plans. The same applies to pretty much everyone who says that Brady will retire after the season.

The quarterback made it clear that he will not even think on any retirement plans in 2019 or beyond. Brady likes to play for a few more seasons, and Patriots players are really fine with that. Brady’s résumé is really impressive. I mean, you do not always have a player at his age with five Super Bowl rings, 10 consecutive division titles and eight Super Bowl appearances. Yes, Tom Brady is awesome.

Brady knows there is a lot more to accomplish before working on his retirement plans

If you ask the quarterback, he will say there’s more to accomplish before leaving the team.

“Once you stop, you’re done,” the quarterback said on the “Why Sports Matter” podcast. “I still feel there’s things to accomplish. And I’ve had an opportunity, based on all the things that happened the last 12 years of my life, you know, to put myself in a position to achieve things that no one else has achieved. So I feel like I kind of have to do it. … It’s (expletive) going to be hard to do. But I think I can do it.”

The GOAT also talked about his love for the game of football.

“When I’m out on the field in front of 70,000 people, I can kind of do what I want,” Brady said. “I can really be who I am. I get to be me, with my raw emotion and energy. If I want to scream at somebody, I can scream at somebody. But you don’t really see me do that any place else.

“I don’t trust a lot of people. That’s probably why I love football so much because it allows me to be who I am in a very authentic way that is hard for me to be when I walk off the field.”

The New England Patriots are playing the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, and fans do hope to make the third straight Super Bowl appearance.
