The Four Clues Lakers And LeBron James Are Planning Swoop For Warriors Star

The Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson will be without contract at the end of the season. The Los Angeles Lakers are probably planning a swoop for the Warriors star after releasing a number of clues.

The Warriors seem like they are interested in securing the shooting guard to a longer contract when he hits free agency on July 1. However, the Lakers are still looking for a big name, and they are definitely trying to get the Warriors star on the roster.

Thompson may ink an extension with the Warriors

Ethan Strauss from The Athletic says that the Warriors player will probably sign a contract extension with the Golden State. But, he also said that Los Angeles is creating enough space to get the three-time NBA champion.

“This is why you don’t hear about any team besides the Lakers gearing up for the Summer of Klay,” Strauss explained.

MSN suggest that Lakers head coach Luke Walton talked to Thompson last summer. “Lakers coach Luke Walton spent time with Thompson in Qatar this past summer in what many around the league saw as a part of a soft recruitment.”

LeBron James had words of his praise for the counterpart. After the Warrior made 14 three pointers in the regular season, King James took to Twitter to express his impression.

“CONGRATS @KlayThompson on setting that record!! #FlameThrower (12 fire emojis),” James tweeted.

These hints could speak volumes. Is this actually a master plan to recruit Thompson? The Warriors star is also annoyed with Kevin Durant and Draymond Green.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said there may be exits when he talked about the team and its longevity.

What everybody’s going to talk about is this version of the Warriors: How long will that last? That’s got a finite term limit. It just does,” Kerr said.
