Tom Brady Sets New Postseason Record In Game Against The Chargers

Seeing Tom Brady hit a new record is not a strange thing. The Patriots quarterback hit a new postseason record, and it is a nice addition to his storied postseason resume.

With the fourth quarter completion in the AFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium, Tom Brady threw his 227th consecutive pass in the postseason without getting an interception. That’s a nice postseason record, right?

It is a record-breaking streak

Brady’s streak broke Saints quarterback Drew Brees’ mark of 226.

We did not really see Brady dominate the field this season, however he came back to his good old game, and the Chargers were blown away.

Early in the fourth quarter, the quarterback completed 32 of his 42 passes for 340 yards and a touchdown. This brought the team to a huge lead over Los Angeles.

That’s just Brady doing his usual thing. We do believe that the best is yet to come. Tom Brady will not go anywhere in near future, and he will sure help the team win the Super Bowl. But, let’s just wait until then.

“That’s a pretty good one right there. That’s pretty cool. It’s just fun to be around — I’m out there today practicing and it’s whatever degrees out — 10 degrees, 15 degrees and I’m sitting here just playing with my friends, throwing the football around,” Brady said about his time with the Patriots.

“I think it’s just a great blessing to be able to do it and do it here for this team, which I’ve loved to do. Philip’s been on the same team. It means a lot. We all work hard to get to this point. These things aren’t guaranteed, very tough to get to this point in the season. Every team four months ago thought they’d be playing in these games. The reality is, that’s not the way the NFL is, so we’re very fortunate and we’ve got to go out and try to take advantage of it.”
