Tom Brady Addresses Gronk’s Retirement Plans

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski may retire after the season, but quarterback Tom Brady does not know a thing about his retirement plans. First, Gronk said he would retire and then he decided to hit his ninth season in the league.

When asked about Gronkowski’s retirement plans, Brady did not have much to say.

“I don’t know. I don’t know,” Brady said. “Again, Gronk and I have never talked about it. He knows how I feel about him. He has been just a great person and player for us, and teammate and friend. It’s amazing what he has accomplished. We haven’t talked about it. Everyone makes different choices at the end of every season. I love playing with him.”

Gronk is all about Kansas City

The tight end was asked about the report, but he said he was focused on the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I was focused on LA the whole game, and it’s going to be the same thing this week,” Gronk said. “I’m all-in right now. We’ve got the Kansas City Chiefs now. It’s going to be another week of preparation, and I haven’t thought about anything like that. So we’ve just got to go all-in, keep our focus and keep on doing what we’ve got to do, and I’ve got to keep on doing what I’ve got to do to help this team out to win next week.”

Gronkowski caught just one pass for 25 yards in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He took the role of a blocker, and did a really good job in the Patriots’ run game.

Tom Brady and the team will need the best of Rob Gronkowski on Sunday. New England will be playing the AFC Championship Game, and the Chiefs are not really a small bite to swallow. If they lose, it may be the final role Gronk plays in.
