Here’s How LeBron James Reacted To Kyrie Irving‘s Apology

LeBron James reacted to Kyrie Irving’s apology after the Boston Celtics player called him to apologize for his behavior in Cleveland.

LeBron and Kyrie played in Cleveland, and Irving was not quite happy with his role on the team. That’s why he demanded to be traded. Will LeBron appreciate Irving’s apology?

Irving and LeBron won the 2016 NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he was traded one year later. Irving wanted to be a leader on his own team, and that was impossible in Cleveland. The Celtics players struggled on the leadership position in Boston, and now he appreciates everything LeBron did back then.

Following the awful defeat to the Orlando Magic, Irving called up King James to apologize for his attitude.

Irving’s apology surprised LeBron

LeBron was with Kevin Love at the time. “LeBron looked down at his phone and he showed us. He was like, ‘I wonder what he wants?’” Love said. LeBron was really appreciative that Irving called him.

The Boston Celtics player explained his reasons to apologize.

“Obviously, this was a big deal for me, because I had to call [LeBron] and tell him I apologized for being that young player that wanted everything at his fingertips, and I wanted everything at my threshold. I wanted to be the guy that led us to a championship,” Irving said.

“I wanted to be the leader. I wanted to be all that, and the responsibility of being the best in the world and leading your team is something that is not meant for many people. [LeBron] was one of those guys who came to Cleveland and tried to show us how to win a championship, and it was hard for him. Sometimes getting the most out of the group is not the easiest thing in the world.”

Well, at least this turned out well.
