Kyrie Irving Makes Bombshell Confession About Relationship With LeBron

Kyrie Irving is part of the Boston Celtics long enough to know what it is like to be a leader in the league. The former Cavalier led his new team to their greatest 117-108 win over the Toronto Raptors. After the big win, Irving made a confession about LeBron.

Irving said he called LeBron James to apologize for his behavior during their time in Cleveland. LeBron was a leader back then, let’s not forget that. What a confession, right? Maybe Irving just needed some time and practice to understand the true value of leaders in the NBA.

King James and Irving played for three years in Cleveland, and had awesome team success while giving the Cavs their single NBA title in 2016. But, Irving wanted out just because he wanted to develop in a leader.

The situation was not perfect. Irving was the face of the team from 2011 until 2014, and LeBron’s return came along with tons of criticism. LeBron was never criticized for the franchise’s losses. Irving, Kevin Love or every other player were targeted by angry fans.

The confession was the right thing to be done

Irving has more experience as the Celtics’ leader, and now he feels LeBron and everything he went through in Cleveland.

“The young guys don’t know what it takes to be a championship level team,” Irving said. “What it takes every day. And if they think it is hard now, what do they think it will be like when we’re trying to get to the Finals?”

Well, Jaylen Brown disagrees with him, and made a few comments about it.

“It’s not one guy’s fault. It’s not young guys, old guys’ fault. It’s everybody. We all have to be accountable to turn this thing around. There’s stretches where we play good basketball, and stretches we don’t, but we all have to have each other’s backs.”
