Lakers Unveil Trade Plans To Bring In Major Superstars

It seems like the Los Angeles Lakers have created a plan, and it does not involve mid-season trade plans.

The Los Angeles Lakers cannot win without their star player. They could not even defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers, and we all know that they are the worst team in the league this season. This is a perfect example of how NBA teams play without LeBron. The Cavaliers cannot make a move without him, and the Lakers are going down. LeBron brought the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in four different campaigns. The king brought the Lakers at the fourth position in the Western Conference. But, why are they giving up on their trade plans?

The Lakers will not work on big trade plans this season

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers will not sign a big trade this season despite the fact that they need to make one. Windhorst said the team needs more shooting and players who hit free throws regularly. He also explained that the Lakers need rebounding, but they are not signing a star to assist LeBron James.

Wonder why? The Lakers will not sign a deal that increases their salary cap hit, because they will try to save more money to make a run at a max salary move next season.

Magic Johnson will try to talk to Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard before taking a major step. If the Lakers do want Durant or Leonard on the team, they better provide all they need to build a championship team around their star player.

Truth is, the Lakers do not really have a player to trade at the moment. Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram will be even greater in future, but they cannot help a team win at the moment. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is the best player LA can trade at the moment, but he has veto-power. So, no, there will be no trade deal this season.
