Report: Los Angeles Lakers Provide Huge Hint On Lonzo Ball’s Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers were all about trading a few weeks ago in order to boost their roster and get a huge name on the list. Ken Berger wrote how the team planned to give up on Lonzo Ball and obtain a great star. LeBron James’ groin injury changed things in LA, and it seems like Ball’s trade will not happen.

Lakers director of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka changed their opinion regarding Ball’s trade. LeBron talked about the performance of the young players. He was amazed with their play, and the young core enjoyed the attention of the king.

The Lakers were linked to Anthony Davis and there were so many rumors regarding New Orleans and their star player. If the Lakers wanted Davis, they were definitely supposed to give up on Lonzo Ball. That trade did not happen.

Ball’s trade is not happening

Lonzo Ball is still an untouchable player for the Lakers, and the team is still struggling in the Western Conference. LA cannot wait for LeBron James to come back on the floor.

The young Ball was under scrutiny from head coach Luke Walton. However, he sure had a nice sophomore campaign. In the past six contests, Lonzo averaged 35.8 minutes, 13.8 points and 7.7 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers will struggle on the floor for quite some time. LeBron James was re-evaluated and was cleared to return on practice. The team needed his play in the past few games, but that was in no way possible. Hopefully, he will be better soon. Head coach Luke Walton said LeBron ran in practice, but that’s all. He was there to support his teammates, but did not travel with them. Are the Lakers strong enough to continue playing without him?
