Lakers Provide Latest Update On Lonzo Ball’s Ankle Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers’ third game against the Houston Rockets was terrible for Lonzo Ball as he went down hard in the third quarter of the contest. The young player rolled his ankle in the worst way possible, and could not leave the court without extra help. Lonzo’s teammates carried him off of the court because of that ankle injury.

The worst part came when everyone was told that the X-Ray machine at the Toyota Center was broken, and the team could not get any info on Lonzo’s ankle injury. Nobody knew what happened to his ankle, and the team could not even give an update on Lonzo Ball and his condition.

The initial diagnosis suggested that Ball sprained his left ankle. The young player was taken to the hospital. Hopefully, things will get clear within a few days.

Here are some good news about Lonzo Ball’s ankle injury

Mike Trudell reported that the player will not return to the floor. “Lonzo Ball won’t return due to a sprained left ankle. He’s heading to a local hospital for X-Rays, since the machine at the arena is not working,” he explained.

Everyone was waiting on an update on Lonzo’s injury, and the worst scenario would be having Lonzo lose several games. That’s one of the worst scenarios that can happen to a young player and a team that struggles for a spot in the playoffs.

Additional reports suggested that staffers took Lonzo in a wheelchair as he was unable to put weight on his left leg. That sure is a bad sprain, but it is not as bad as it looked like.

Trudell also noted that Ball’s X-Rays are negative. That’s some good news for the team and the fanbase. Ball did not break his ankle, and that actually confirms the initial diagnosis that was made on his injury.
