NFL Media Reacts To Patriots Strong First Half Vs. Chiefs

Everyone was so focused on the AFC Championship game between the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs. It is an important game for both teams, and pundits expected a shootout between the squads. We have Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady on the field, and that sure means a thing. We have the two best quarterbacks struggling for a big win, and the first half was super explosive.

Truth is, Brady and Mahomes did not bring out the best in the first half. Reggie Ragland, Sony Michel and Trey Flowers did an excellent job. Many would agree that the first half was actually a defensive struggle. The Patriots may be playing on the road, but their game is strong. New England controls the game. Great coaching staffs did awesome job with their teams, and we all know that players know the weak spots of their opponents.

Patriots make history in the first half

The New England Patriots made some nice history, and had a brilliant gameplan. Experts would definitely debate some questionable calls, but the NFL media spotted it all.

Rob Gronkowski made history as he has 1,000 yards in the postseason alone. This is great at so many levels, and let’s not forget that he missed the 2016 Super Bowl run. Stop trashing Gronk, just take a look at his numbers. Gronk was really careful throughout the season, and had a drop in his numbers. However, he got going really early in the game, and his first catch went for 14.

The Patriots hit the AFC Championship game in a perfectly healthy condition. They had the entire roster ready to hit the field. You do not always see this in New England. This season was filled with injuries, and the team played without some of the best players on the roster.
