Lakers Ordered To Complete Carmelo Anthony Trade For One Major Reason

February 7 is a big day for the world of basketball, and teams will have to drop their final decision regarding trades. There is a huge chance that Carmelo Anthony joins LeBron James before the deadline.

Sources confirm that the Houston Rockets have decided to send Carmelo Anthony to the Chicago Bulls.

However, the player will not even play with his new teammates, and is expected to move to Los Angeles. Stephen A. Smith explained that Anthony makes a nice match with LeBron.

“I think people have been totally disrespectful to Melo. Melo is who he is. He’s a scorer. He’s not somebody that’s the all around talent that LeBron is, he’s not the Greek Freak, he’s not anybody like that. This a career 24 point per game scorer. Now over the last two years he’s averaged 40 percent from the field and that’s not been great. But that Houston situation was setup to fail. LA with LeBron to me is an ideal spot above all else because of what LeBron brings to the table.”

Carmelo Anthony is perfect with LeBron

Melo is a perfect addition to the Lakers. Head coach Luke Walton has developed a nice system in LA, and Melo would fit in the best way possible.

“In LA with Luke Walton’s system, the up tempo, with LeBron running the show, knowing his man, his man never playing with him, having something to prove. With all of that coming together in LA I think that’s the perfect situation for Melo,” Smith said.

The Lakers did not have too much luck without LeBron James, Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo. King James had to stay on the sideline due to his groin injury, and Rondo has had problems with his hand. The young Lonzo suffered an ankle injury, and will miss 4-6 weeks. Terrible, right?
